Current openings
Nap & After School Care Teacher
Joliet Montessori School is looking for a dependable, responsible and caring individual to guide our 3 and 4 year-olds with nap and guide 3-11 year-olds in our aftercare program starting in September 2025. This job follows the academic calendar from August through May with summers off.
Employee will be tasked with:
- Daily attendance
- Care and nurture of children
- Snack provisions
- Outdoor supervision
- Indoor activities
- Scheduling, planning, and light paperwork
- Frequent sanitation.
This person must be willing to adhere to CCR&R requirements and Montessori guidelines and principles on classroom management, and execute them consistently on a daily basis. From time to time, depending on events at our school, extra hours are offered, but not required.
Candidate must have First Aid/CPR training or be willing to become certified before school begins, experience working with children, strong management and organizational skills, clean background check and some experience in a school setting. This is a part-time position with no more than 27.5 per week.

Substitute Teachers
Position includes:
- Following the head teacher's schedule and plan for the day
- Supervising children and guiding children in their work
- Sanitization procedures and cleaning the classroom at the end of the day
- Work hours are from 8am-3:45pm
- Must have experience working with children
- Montessori background a plus
- Temporary job position.
