Parent Involvement

The Joliet Montessori School is a living and learning community in which parents play a major role.  As an integral part of the Montessori experience, parents are a crucial component to a successful school.

JMS parents are uncommonly generous with their time, talents and treasures.  Through the enthusiasm and hard work of generations of JMS parents, there are a number of parent education activities that are traditional at JMS.  
 
Parents participate in many capacities, such as serving on the Board of Trustees, the Home and School Association, various committees or assisting as room parents.
 
Fund raising, which enables JMS to maintain its high-quality program, is also an important aspect of parental involvement in the school.  While all parents agree to financially support the Annual Fund at their own individual comfort level, there are other voluntary fund raising opportunities available throughout the school year.
